Managing Human Wildlife Interactions: Snakes

June 30, 2023 by Linda SE

One day, when I was a little girl, I was playing outside; yes, we did that back then! As I came around the corner of our home, I saw a black snake, curled up, enjoying a bit of shade, under an evergreen tree. I stopped dead in my tracks, petrified at the sight. I don’t recall if I screamed or not, but I remember backing slowly away and running to tell my Mama! Fast forward several…ok, MANY years later, if I see a snake unexpectedly, I assure you I WILL scream as I high step away… Linda SE
